SÜREYYA SARIHAN

She graduated from Nişantaşı Girls High School in 1979 and from Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical Faculty in 1985. She received specialty training at Istanbul University, Istanbul Medical Faculty, Radiation Oncology Department between 1992-1996. She started to work as a Specialist Doctor in Uludag University, Faculty of Medicine, in 1997. She became Assistant Professor in 2001 and Associate Professor in 2010. She worked as a visiting researcher at the University of South Carolina, USA for 2 months in 2000, and at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA for 2 months in 2004. In 2018, she received Cyberknife, stereotactic radiotherapy training in Sam Jeswani Training Center-Madison, Wisconsin, USA. In 2010, she received the Certificate of Competency from Turkish Radiation Oncology Association. She gives lectures at associate degree, undergraduate and graduate levels on cancer biology, etiology, epidemiology, classification, screening, diagnosis and treatment, and also provides specialist training in the field.
