Divisions and Units of the Department: In our department, all kinds of care and treatment concerning plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery as well as hand surgery and burn care have been provided since the divisions’ respective establishment. The Hand Surgery Division was founded in March 1993. In addition, it was the second hand surgery clinic established in Turkey. The Burn Center was instituted at our current hospital and affiliated to the plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery department in April 1997.
Scope of Services
Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Department and Hand Surgery Division provides patients of all ages with diagnosis and treatment services 7 days 24 hours.
Our inpatient ward is on 4th. floor, has 22 beds. It could serve to other clinics if required. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 22/1.
The outpatient clinic is open from 08:00 – 17:00 for weekdays.
The Burn Center is on the 2nd. Floor, in Intensive Care Units Complex. It has 6 beds and is open 24/7. Patient to nurse ratio is 3/1.
Counsultations are served for 24/7 to all clinics in case of necessity.

Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Admissions
The patients, who are seen in outpatient clinics and emergency department, are evaluated for indications concerning plastic surgery, should the occasion arise, admitted to inpatient ward.  Also, transferred patients from other clinics or hospitals could be accepted if necessary. Admissions are executed by resident physicians after discussing with the responsible consultant. If any disagreement occurs, The Chairperson of the Department or The Head of Hand Surgery Division are consulted.
The Hospital of Uludağ University is a tertiary medical center, so that presented patients are assessed whether they are suitable for our facilty or candidates for other instituitions which are less or more specialized (craniofacial surgery, transgender surgery etc.). Most of those are university hospitals.
Patients who need burn care are admitted to The Burn Center.
