MEHMET KARADAĞ

He was born in Corum on September 21, 1958. In 1976, he graduated from Corum High School. During the 1976-1977 academic year, he attended KTU's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. He began his university education at Bursa (Uludag) University Faculty of Medicine in 1978, after taking a one-year break, and finished it in July 1985. He served his mandatory state service in the emergency department of Kırklareli State Hospital from 1985 to 1987. On April 26, 1991, he completed his specialization at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis, which he began on January 24, 1987. He worked as a specialist doctor at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis, between April 1991 and April 1993. He completed his two-month short-term military service at Istanbul Çamlica Military Hospital in 1992. He completed his mandatory state service at Diyarbakır Chest Diseases Hospital after specializing between April and December 1993. On December 8, 1993, he returned to Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis, as an Assistant Professor. Between July 3 and July 31, 1995, he worked at Killingbeck Hospital, affiliated with United Leeds Teaching Hospitals in Leeds, England. On October 17, 1996, he was promoted to Associate Professor. On April 18, 2002, he was appointed as a professor. On February 18, 2010, he was named the Founding Chief Physician of Bursa Şevket Yılmaz Training and Research Hospital. He resigned from his position as Chief Physician on April 18, 2014, and returned to his duties at the University. He is still working at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Chest Diseases and Tuberculosis, as a Professor Doctor and Head of the Department.
