ERMAN PEKTOK

Assoc. Prof. Pektok received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in Ankara, in 1998. He carried out his residency between 1999-2005 in the Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, where he had an opportunity to be an active member of heart transplant team, the resident in-charge of the homograft lab, and the member of the stem cell study group. Shortly after completing the residency, Assoc. Prof. Pektok worked in the University of Geneva, Service for Cardiovascular Surgery as a research (2005-2007) and clinical fellow (2007-2009). During this period, Assoc. Prof. Pektok acquired a great experience in animal research, clinical research and scientific writing. In 2009, Assoc. Prof. Pektok started working in the Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery as an Assistant Professor. He was also a member of the Heart Transplant and MCS Program. One year later, on June 2010, Assoc. Prof. Pektok became a member of the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, and the co-founder of the Heart Transplant and MCS Program in the Sisli Florence Nightingale Hospital. Between August 2014 and August 2018, he served as the Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Istanbul Bilim University, Sisli Florence Nightingale Hospital, and as the Director of the Heart Transplant and MCS Program. As of November 2018, Assoc. Prof. Erman Pektok is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Bursa Uludag University, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery, and a Heart Transplant&MCS surgeon at the Heart Transplantation Program.
