She graduated from Bursa Anadolu High School in 1983. She graduated from Uludag University Faculty of Medicine in 1989 with the first place. She started her specialization in the Department of Cardiology at Uludag University in 1990. In 1992, she worked for 6 months at Istanbul Cardiology Institute to receive traning in the field of coronary angiography. After completing her cardiology residency in 1995, she started to work as a specialist doctor at Uludag University Cardiology Department. She became an Assistant Propfessor in 1998. In 1999, she worked for 6 months in the echocardiography laboratory  at the University of Alabama, USA. She received the title of Associate Professor of Cardiology in 2000 and Professor in 2007. 

 

She is still working as a Professor at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine , Department of Cardiology.
