OSMAN AKIN SERDAR

He was born in 1962 in Izmit. He completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara, at Ziya Gökalp Primary School, Fatih Secondary School and Mustafa Kemal High School. He studied at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty between 1979-1985. Later, he worked one and a half years in Muş State Hospital Emergency Department. He started his residency in 1987 at the Department of Internal Diseases at GATA Haydarpaşa Military Hospital. After the establishment of the cardiology department in 1990, he started to work as a cardiology assistant in the same institution and became a cardiology specialist. In July 1993, he started to work as a cardiologist at Uludag University Cardiology Department. In 1994, he became Assistant Professor in the same clinic. He became an Associate Professor of Cardiology in 1996. Since March 20, 2003 he has been working as a professor in the same institution.
