Department's Brief History
The studies in the field of child mental health began on 1976 at Uludag University Faculty of Medicine. 1990 after the acceptance as a separate specialty, of Child Psychiatry in our country, Child Psychiatry Department was established in July 1993. The Department of Child Mental Health and Diseases was established in May 2002 and started its polyclinic and clinic services.

Location and Structure
Resident Training Process
Our department is qualified in specialization in Child and Adolescents psychiatry training. The training program is adapted to the National Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Disease Curriculum. Specialization in Child and Adolescents Psychiatry training has been adapted to theoretical and practical training programs for 4 years. Students are expected to be successful in theoretical and practical courses and to successfully defend their scientific theses at the end of their education.
Research Areas and Service Areas
In our clinic, scientific studies on child and adolescent mental disorders are continuing. In our clinic, there are 12-bed capacity and 4 polyclinics.
