IŞIK ŞENKAYA SIĞNAK

He was born in 1960 in Gönen-BALIKESİR. Since his father was a soldier, he completed primary, secondary and high school in different provinces. In the 1977-78 academic year, he completed his medical education in Bursa Faculty of Medicine, as it was then called, and graduated in 1982. After performing his compulsory service in Marmaris / Bozburun health center for 2 years, he started his specialization in Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine Cardiovascular Surgery. After he submitted his thesis and passed the exam in 1991, he continued his duty as a specialist in the same clinic. He became an assistant professor in 1994. During his associate professorship, he worked in the field of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery in different clinics in the USA and England. After returning to Turkey, he became an associate professor in 2005 and a professor in 2011. In these years, he received the Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery specialization certificate, which is the second specialization certificate, and opened a branch of science in this field at our University and started to provide education. He still continues his duty at Uludag University.
