She graduated from Bursa Girls' High School in 1994 and from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine English Department in 2001. Between 2005 and 2010, she received specialization training at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Genetics. Between 2010 and 2013, she fulfilled her compulsory service duty as a Medical Genetics Specialist at Bursa Şevket Yılmaz Training and Research Hospital. She became an assistant professor in 2016 and an associate professor in 2018 in Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Genetics, where she started to work as a specialist doctor in 2013. She teaches Medical Genetics courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
